First, we explored what people would do during the Stone Age to find food. We found out that they would hunt and gather food from the environment around them. We explored Coombe Woods to see what we could find and forage. We found blackberry bushes, stinging nettles, chestnut trees, hawthorn trees and hazelnut trees. During our walk, we also gathered resources which might be helpful to make fires and different tools.

After all the busy making, we enjoyed preparing and cooking a berry and apple stew. We picked, peeled and chopped our own apples to include in our stew. It was fantastic to see it cooking on our fire. It was very tasty! At the end of the day, we enjoyed games and stories around the fire.
